Here are a few proven methods that will help you optimize your games:
When you turn on nickels, quarters and dollars, you are offering essentially three different players’ games. There is no reason they should get the same “price” on the game as their value to you is different at each level. For example, your nickel player should get a 95% return, your quarter a 97% and your dollar a 98%. This rewards the better value player and in many cases helps you move a player from a lower denom to a higher one.
Most players identify themselves by the denom they play, just like you do them. Many players will “move up” in denom if they get a good jackpot as they like the idea of bigger jackpots at the next denom. A quarter player hits aces with a kicker on Double Double Bonus and wants to “go for it” now they have $500. If you have .50 cents (halves) enabled, that is a natural progression, whereas a dollar might be too steep a jump for some.
In many cases, operators only turn on a few game families. Even if you have 3 or 4 really popular ones, it is quite reasonable and useful to turn on 5 or 6. There’s a game out there for everyone. Further, some operations will have a few games turned on some machines and not others. If you have similar banks with one earning less, check and make sure all the same game families and denoms are enabled. Consistency maximizes entertainment options for players and earnings for you.
